We have this lovely group of people that talk with each other over this Slack group made by the dude running Balance Dist. It’s a great way of slacking through your office days. People in the group come from all over the world.
Some of them love to travel to the Winterclash event. In 2023 I first joined the group. When we heard some of those weirdos were travelling and the weather predicitions weren’t too good we had one of our friends setup his mobile skatepark underneath the bridge near Area51. Just a so we could hook up and meet everyone and still go out and have a session. The year after was when Standard Skate Company launched. We got in touch with Lawrence and he was happy to pick up the tab for renting out World Skate Center in Den Bosch. Fucking legend!
Fast forward to 2025. Pardon finally got some traction and we have been setting some cash aside for events. Winterclash was closing in again so the Slack group was discussing how to get a skatepark rented out for a day again. Together with Balance Distribution we could rent out the Pier15 Skatepark in Breda. One of the finest Plaza style indoor parks we got in the Netherlands.

People from the UK, Germany, France, Belgium and The Netherlands showed up for this session. It was the perfect balance of people from all different skill levels. The best people to just hang with, skate a ledge with, see a kink rail battle occur and talk shit.
This community we’ve got is so fucking universal.
We had people with video cameras running around too which resulted in this lovely little edit. In 2026 new shit happened. Somehow Ralf is building a skatepark and yes the same group of weirdos showed up there. The 2026 edit is being produced as we speak. Fucking love this community we got!
